The Edgemont Community Council is proud to recognize and congratulate Edgemont resident Jaclyn Liu on her recent honor from the Westchester County Board of Legislators during their 2025 Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration.
Jaclyn was presented with an official proclamation by Legislator David Imamura in recognition of her tireless advocacy, outstanding leadership, and decades of volunteer service. The proclamation not only highlighted her accomplishments as a past president and longtime board member of OCA–Westchester & Hudson Valley, but also celebrated her commitment to building bridges, uplifting youth voices, and organizing impactful programs that have reached thousands across Westchester.
Among her many contributions, Jaclyn helped expand mental health resources in the AAPI community, launched educational programs exploring AAPI history, and established new leadership opportunities for young people. Her dedication to service extends to every corner of the community — from co-founding the Chinese Academy of Greater New York to supporting students and families right here in Edgemont.
We are especially proud that the County has officially proclaimed April 30, 2025 as “Jaclyn Liu Day” in Westchester — an incredible and well-earned honor that reflects the respect and gratitude so many feel for her work.
Jaclyn’s leadership is a shining example of what it means to serve with purpose, compassion, and vision. On behalf of the ECC, I thank her for all she has done — and continues to do — to strengthen our community and region.
With sincere appreciation,
Dylan F. Pyne
