The Westchester County Board of Elections has issued a statement confirming that countywide voting machine issues are related to paper ballots not being accepted by ballot scanners.
Voting is continuing, and every eligible vote will be counted!
Voters should continue to complete their regular paper ballots as instructed by poll workers. Ballots that cannot be scanned will be placed in designated orange emergency ballot bags, which will remain secure and monitored until they are counted in accordance with election procedures.
The Board of Elections is working closely with state and county officials to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Please do not be discouraged from voting! Stay in line, follow the instructions of poll workers, and make your voice heard.
Polls remain open until 9 PM.
