ECC Seeking Feedback on the No. 65 Bee-Line Bus (Longview Commuter Bus)

Dear Neighbors,

As part of the Edgemont Community Council’s ongoing advocacy efforts, we are gathering feedback on the Bee-Line No. 65 commuter bus, which connects the Edgemont neighborhoods of Southern Greenville, Longview, Fort Hill, Northern Greenville, and Old Edgemont with express Metro-North trains at Scarsdale Station during weekday mornings and evenings.

Earlier this year, Westchester County awarded a new 10-year, $1.8 billion contract to Liberty Lines to operate the Bee-Line system. For the first time, this contract includes performance metrics like on-time service and cleanliness, and gives the County new tools to hold the operator accountable. As County Executive Ken Jenkins noted in his March 13 press release, the voices of riders, advocates, and community leaders played a key role in shaping this decision.

Now is a critical time to make sure Edgemont residents are part of that conversation. Whether you currently use the No. 65 bus, have used it in the past, or might consider it in the future, I invite you to take a few minutes to complete our commuter survey. Your input will help us understand local transit needs and advocate for improvements with the County and Liberty Lines as this new contract is implemented.

Thank you for being an engaged member of our community and helping shape a better Edgemont for all.

Sincerely,
Dylan F. Pyne
