EHS NINTH GRADER HIT BY CAR WHILE CROSSING CENTRAL AVENUE

A ninth grade student at Edgemont Junior Senior High School was struck by a car this morning while crossing Central Avenue on his way to school.  The following statement was issued this morning by Superintendent Kniewel:

“Dear Parents and Guardians,
We received the unsettling news that a ninth grade student was hit by a car while walking across Central Avenue this morning. The student was alert after being hit. I do not know the extent of his injuries at this time. The student was taken to the hospital. I will share more information as it becomes available.
As always, our great counselors and psychologists are available for any students in need of support.

Best regards,
Victoria Kniewel”

The ECC has reached out to the Greenburgh Police for further information, which we will pass along when provided.
