The current version of the School Board Nominating Committee (SBNC) Rules and Procedures has been in force since 1994. Per the recommendation of the 2022-2023 ECC Board of Directors, the establishment of an SBNC Rules and Procedures Revision Committee will be considered at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the ECC. As detailed in the SBNC Rules and Procedures, a Revision Committee can be established by a motion duly adopted by a majority of those present at the ECC Annual Meeting. If established, the Revision Committee will be composed of the outgoing members of the 2022-2023 SBNC (or other former SBNC members if the immediate outgoing members are unable to serve) and chaired by outgoing SBNC Chair David M. C. Stern. The committee will be tasked with proposing updates to the SBNC Rules and Procedures for vote at the next ECC Annual Meeting. Such updates should reflect the changes made to the ECC bylaws in 2010 and 2017 that impacted the SBNC, and incorporate other modifications as appropriate.
