On Tuesday, May 21, 2024 the Edgemont community came out in force to participate in the school district vote. Of the 5,357 eligible voters in the election, 1,317 participated (24.6%).
Edgemont voters approved the proposed 2024-2025 school district budget. Vote totals follow:
Yes – 915 (69%)
No – 402 (31%)
Voters defeated a $66.8 million bond for capital improvements. Vote totals follow:
Yes – 645 (49%)
No – 671 (51%)
In addition, two new community members were elected to three-year positions on the Board of Education, starting July 1, 2024.
