Final Safety Survey Community Sessions for Fort Hill, Old Army, and Ardsley Roads

Edgemont Residents,

As part of public engagement process for road and pedestrian safety here in Edgemont, you are invited to register here for the final online forums where we will discuss each of these three roads in-depth:

  • Ardsley Road: Tuesday 3/28
  • Fort Hill Road: Tuesday 4/11
  • Old Army Road: Tuesday 4/18

So far, the ECC has hosted eight online forums covering each of our neighborhoods.  83 residents registered and compiled this list of hazards.  The focus has been on identifying relatively low-cost solutions that can be implemented this year and also on understanding residents’ long-term priorities.

These final forums will go deeper and set a new standard for interactive public engagement in our community.  Residents will have an opportunity to propose and then vote on specific changes to the road infrastructure block by block on each of these major roads.  The goal is to discuss the tougher questions and tradeoffs about speed, convenience, and safety so that we can understand what the community wants to see happen.  Public officials are invited and they will be in listening mode during these meetings.  This results of the community input will then help inform the ECC’s advocacy priorities.

We encourage you to register here for at least one of these final sessions, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,
Dylan Pyne, President of the Edgemont Community Council
Lucas Cioffi, Chair of ECC Traffic, Sidewalks, and Safety Committee
