Save the Date: ECC Join or Die Screening & Edgemont Community Joining Fair

Dear Edgemont Neighbors,

What makes Edgemont special is our strong sense of community and the way neighbors pitch in to make this a better place for all.

On Thursday, November 13, the Edgemont Community Council is proud to present a special screening of the acclaimed documentary Join or Die in the Edgemont High School Auditorium.

The film follows the story of social scientist Robert Putnam (Bowling Alone) and asks one of the most vital questions of our time: “What makes democracy work?” Through powerful storytelling and interviews with leaders such as former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, author and facilitator Priya Parker, former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, and grassroots organizers across the country, the film makes a compelling case for civic engagement and the role of local organizations in building stronger, healthier communities.

Following the screening, ECC will host our first-ever Community Joining Fair in the Edgemont High School Cafeteria, where residents can meet the local organizations who keep our community strong. Browse the fair to learn how to ‘join in’ and get involved. You can also enjoy a preview of the fair beginning at 6:30 PM, before the film.
