Thank you to the amazing Edgemont community members who volunteered at AFYA Foundation on Saturday, March 2nd for the ECC Spring 2024 Service Day!
We sorted and packed 1,200lbs of medical supplies – giving these valuable goods a second life, keeping them out of landfills, and helping 12,000 people around the world. Through our efforts we also raised $1,173.94 to support the Afya Foundation to continue to pursue their mission.
Whether you were able to join us or not, you can sign up to volunteer Mondays-Thursdays 10am-2pm and Wednesdays 3-5pm. Contributions can also still be made to support the work of this great organization through their donate page. If you’re going on vacation to an underdeveloped country, you can request an Afya Luggage for Life bag and bring life-saving medical supplies to a clinic in need.
