Support Our Greenville Volunteer Firefighters This Year-end Giving Season

Dear Edgemont Neighbors,

The Edgemont Community Council encourages all residents to support the Greenville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, which has proudly served our community for more than 112 years. The volunteer company has just mailed its 2025 Annual Appeal, and I hope you will take a moment to read their letter and consider making a contribution.

Our volunteer firefighters, many of whom are our neighbors, stand ready day and night to respond to emergencies throughout the Greenville Fire District. Beyond emergencies, the volunteers are a fixture of our civic life, helping with beloved local events such as E-Day, the Homecoming Bonfire, Wheels Day, and the ECC Crane’s Pond Halloween Parade, and performing vital public service work like clearing hydrants after snowstorms.

This commitment to service deserves our gratitude and support. I encourage everyone in Edgemont to consider contributing their time, talent, and treasure to the Greenville Volunteer Fire Company. Whether by making a tax-deductible donation to their annual appeal or by joining as a new volunteer member, your involvement helps sustain an essential community institution. To support the Greenville Volunteer Fire Company and make a gift online, please visit https://www.every.org/greenville-fire-company-no-1.

No prior experience is needed to volunteer, and full training is provided. To learn more, you can contact the Fire Company at greenvillefire1@gmail.com or (914) 723-3430 ext. 6.

On behalf of the Edgemont Community Council, thank you for your continued support of the volunteers who protect and strengthen our community.

With appreciation,
Dylan F. Pyne
President, Edgemont Community Council
