Update on Central Avenue (NYS Route 100) Repaving Project

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYS DOT) has made significant progress on the Central Avenue repaving project. The northbound section is scheduled for completion within the next two weeks.

Notably, the issue of the uneven road surface at the intersection of Ardsley Road and Central Avenue, which has caused discomfort for motorists traveling on Ardsley Road West towards the Midway Shopping Center, has been addressed. Many drivers had previously expressed concerns regarding the abrupt dip at this location. Following the recent repairs, this section is now much improved.

The northbound repaving on Central Avenue has been underway for the past two months. Once this section is complete, the state DOT will shift to preparatory work on the southbound section, with Con Edison continuing its work through the winter months. The repaving of the southbound section is anticipated to begin in the spring.
