The Annual Election of the Greenville Fire District will take place today, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. at Greenville Fire District Headquarters, 711 Central Park Avenue, Scarsdale (across from Frank & Joe’s Deli), for the purpose of electing:
One commissioner for a FIVE year term, commencing on January 1, 2025 and ending on December 31, 2029.
Two candidates are vying for the single open seat on the Board of Commissioners. Incumbent Walter Groden is seeking re-election, facing a challenge from Lou Russo. To learn more about the candidates, please read the Edgemont Community Council’s December 4, 2024 post.
Voting will take place on the lower level of the firehouse with handicapped accessibility from the rear parking area.
All registered residents of the Greenville Fire District as of November 18, 2024, are eligible to vote. While the Edgemont Community Council has a policy not to endorse specific candidates, we strongly encourage all eligible residents to participate in the election process.
