Wanted: Volunteers to Serve on The School Board Nominating Committee

The Edgemont Community Council is seeking volunteers to fill vacancies on the School Board Nominating Committee (SBNC). The SBNC plays an important role to produce the best-qualified people to serve the community on the Edgemont School Board.

If you are interested in serving on the SBNC or would like to refer a neighbor to serve, please contact the ECC by November 13, 2022 here. Please also feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. More details on the SBNC are included below.

Thank you for considering this important endeavor for the Edgemont community.

Sincerely,
The Edgemont Community Council Board of Directors

SBNC Process. The process is designed to:
• Encourage qualified residents to make themselves available to serve
• Establish a fair and judicious means for evaluating and recommending candidates for the School Board
• Make campaigning less necessary or less likely by ensuring a fair and open process for their nomination
• Organized on a nonpartisan basis, under the sponsorship of the ECC, the SBNC interviews each resident who has expressed an interest in being a candidate for the Board. After the interview process, the Committee recommends candidates to fill the number of positions available.
