Thank you to everyone who participated this past Saturday, October 14, in the Edgemont Community Council Fall 2023 Service Day, in partnership with The Sharing Shelf!
Together, community volunteers made 500 hygiene kits, packed over 10,000 diapers, created 400 detergent packs, made 400 underwear sets, made over 100 period kits, and sorted a full palette containing over 100 toys.
Additionally, community members have thus far contributed $3,092.62 to support the mission of The Sharing Shelf. We are still working towards reaching our $5,000 fundraising goal. To support the Edgemont Community Service fundraising campaign, please click here.
Community members who would like to donate clothing to the Sharing Shelf in the future can sign up via this link – https://www.signupgenius.com/go/clothingdonor#/. Sharing Shelf also has regular clothing pick-ups in Edgemont with the next one coming up on Monday, October 30th. Community members can read the Sharing Shelf guidelines and register for a pickup at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/TSSclothingpickup#/.
Community members interested in volunteering with the Sharing Shelf in some capacity going forward can fill out their volunteer pre-registration form and Sharing Shelf will reach out with a menu of options depending on the age of their children.
Please join the Edgemont Community Council mailing list to stay informed about future community service opportunities hosted by the ECC.
