Dear Edgemont Community,
We are writing with a further update regarding the ongoing water main break impacting Edgemont residents.
We have just been informed that as of 7:50 AM, Town of Greenburgh crews are actively cutting and repairing the damaged pipe. The good news is that water service is expected to be restored later today. While no exact restoration time is available, the Deputy Commissioner of Public Works indicated that this is a major repair effort and will likely take several more hours. Crews are working to expedite the repairs as quickly and safely as possible. The Town has emphasized that every available resource is being used to complete the work and restore service.
Once water service is restored, residents in the affected area should continue to follow the Boil Water Advisory issued by the Westchester County Department of Health. All tap water should be boiled before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing dishes, in accordance with County guidance, until residents are officially notified that the advisory has been lifted.
We will continue to share updates as they are communicated to the ECC.
Sincerely,
Dylan F. Pyne
President, The Edgemont Community Council
