Dear Edgemont Neighbors,
Welcome to the Spring 2026 edition of the Edgemont Youth Sports Digest, sponsored by the Edgemont Community Council.
Edgemont’s youth sports community continues to thrive thanks to the many all-volunteer organizations that provide opportunities for children to stay active, build skills, and develop teamwork and confidence. The ECC is proud to highlight these programs and make it easier for families to stay informed and connected.
As a reminder, families can find links and contact information for local youth sports programs on the Edgemont Youth Sports page of the ECC website — a helpful resource to bookmark as registration deadlines approach throughout the year.
Spring Lacrosse – Registration Open
Edgemont Youth Lacrosse spring registration is now open, with about a month remaining to sign up. The program welcomes both new and returning players, and it’s never too late to start.
Lacrosse is one of the fastest-growing youth sports, and Edgemont Youth Lacrosse offers a supportive environment for players of all experience levels. Coaches focus on skill development, teamwork, confidence, and having fun while competing.
Families can visit the league’s website to learn more about teams, age groups, and to complete registration. Questions are welcome at brian@edgemontlacrosse.org or joe@edgemontlacrosse.org.
Mad Dog Flag Football – Spring 2026
Mad Dog Flag Football registration for the Spring 2026 season is now open. Mad Dog offers an NFL Flag program for boys and girls across multiple grade levels, providing a fun, non-contact introduction to football fundamentals while emphasizing sportsmanship and teamwork.
Spring games are held Friday and Saturday evenings from April through June, with locations including Edgemont High School and nearby regional fields. Registration fees increase after early February, so families are encouraged to register soon.
Full details and registration are available on the Mad Dog Flag Football website: https://www.maddognflflag.com/store/p2/Spring_2026_Flag_Football_League.html.
Elmsford Little League – Spring Baseball, Softball & Tee Ball
Elmsford Little League is the official Little League program for Edgemont, offering baseball, softball, and tee ball for children of all ages and experience levels.
Spring 2026 registration is currently open, with important deadlines approaching:
Baseball & Softball: Registration closes in early January, after which players may be placed on a waitlist.

Sibling discounts and financial assistance are available. The league is fully volunteer-run, relying on parent coaches and helpers each season. Practices typically begin in late March, with games running from early April through mid-June.
