At its Open Nominating Meeting on January 20, 2026, the Edgemont School Board Nominating Committee (SBNC) accepted letters nominating three residents to fill the two seats on the Edgemont School Board that will become available on July 1, 2026. The three nominees are Lauren Tanen, Suri Singh, and incumbent Heather Stern.
The SBNC is grateful to these individuals for agreeing to serve the school district if recommended and elected. In mid-March, the SBNC will conduct interviews with all three nominees and will recommend two candidates for the School Board.
Pursuant to section B.5.b. of the SBNC Rules and Procedures (as amended through April 17, 2024), the SBNC is now accepting letters of comment on the three nominees. Letters of comment should be attributable and submitted in writing by March 1 to Sharyn Lewis, SBNC Chair, 24 Seely Place, Scarsdale, NY 10583, or via email to SBNC@EdgemontECC.org. Letters of comment will be shared with SBNC members and with the nominee named in the letter and will be kept confidential.
