I’m pleased to share a great leadership opportunity for local high school students.
Edgemont’s Representative in the State Senate, New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, is now accepting applications for her 2026 Youth Advisory Council (YAC). The Council is open to students ages 14–18 who live in Yonkers, the Town of Greenburgh, or the Town of Mount Pleasant.
Youth Advisory Council members advise the Senator on issues impacting young people, participate in community events and workshops, and help lead meaningful advocacy and service initiatives. This is a terrific opportunity for students who are interested in civic engagement, public service, and leadership.
