ECC Recognized on House Floor by Congressman George Latimer

The Edgemont Community Council (ECC) was recently recognized on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives by Congressman George Latimer for its longstanding commitment to community engagement and civic leadership in Edgemont.

In remarks delivered before Congress, Congressman Latimer praised the ECC’s role in bringing together more than 225 families and serving the broader Edgemont community of approximately 8,500 residents through advocacy, programming, and neighborhood engagement.

The Congressman highlighted the ECC’s extensive schedule of community events and traditions, including Lunar New Year celebrations, Halloween festivities, holiday tree and menorah lightings, and activities centered around Crane’s Pond. He also recognized the organization’s advocacy work with local governments and its efforts to strengthen collaboration between residents, elected officials, and community stakeholders.

The recognition is a testament to the many volunteers, board members, committee members, neighborhood representatives, and residents who dedicate their time and energy to strengthening the Edgemont community. The ECC is grateful to Congressman Latimer for his kind words, recognition, and continued support of the Edgemont community.
