For the first time since the Edgemont School Board Nominating Committee (SBNC) Rules and Procedures were revised in 2024, we have four eligible Southern Greenville residents nominated for three seats on the SBNC.
Accordingly, an election will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, May 19, to elect three SBNC members to represent the Southern Greenville neighborhood. The four nominees are Rod Burns, Jill Chesler Schwartz, Fiona Li-Weisser, and Nicole Papapostolou. Read the candidates’ bios here. Each candidate is seeking to serve on the SBNC for the first time, and, if elected, will serve a two-year term.
All adult residents of the Southern Greenville neighborhood are eligible to vote in the SBNC election. You need not be a registered voter or a US citizen to vote in the SBNC election.
The SBNC is sponsored by the ECC and is not affiliated with the Edgemont Union Free School District or the Edgemont Board of Education.
UPDATED VOTING LOCATION:
Voting will take place from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the corner of Bittersweet Lane and White Oak Lane, just past Bittersweet as you’re leaving the Edgemont High School parking lot. Pull up and vote!
